Sansons Cottage is ideally located in Leysbourne, on Chipping Campden’s High Street. This Cotswold cottage is Grade II listed, full of charecter and is about 180 years old. There are exposed timbers and beams throughout.

Renovated on all three floors, it is delightfully decorated and furnished to a high standard. The sitting room with log fire provides an ideal retreat during the colder months, whilst full gas central heating ensures the cottage is always cosy.

Cot and high chair available on request for an extra charge.

Sitting Room
Open plan, with exposed beams and timbers. Oak flooring with large rug. Guests can relax in front of the log fire on the comfortable armchairs or two-seater sofa or watch the comings and goings of Campden’s high street from the window seat. 32″ Sony flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player.

Kitchen / Diner
An attractive kitchen/diner with fitted cupboards, washing machine / tumble dryer, microwave, undercounter fridge with freezer compartment. Stainless steel Neff gas hob with electric oven and extractor fan. An ironing board and iron are provided. Small pine table to seat four people.

Stairs with attractive stair runner and exposed stair timbers lead from the sitting room to the first-floor landing. Old floorboards with rugs on the landing.

Bedroom Two
Attractive double bedroom (5′ bed) with a window seat overlooking the High Street. Exposed floor boards and rugs. Craftsman built fitted cupboards, bedside tables and chest of drawers. Television with Freeview and built in DVD player.

Bedroom One
An old door leads from the middle floor (first floor) landing, up the stairs and straight into Bedroom One on the second (top) floor.

A lovely spacious high ceiling attic bedroom with exposed beams. The King Size (6ft) bed is zipped and linked and can be made into two, 3ft twin beds if required. Craftsman built fitted cupboards, bedside tables and chest of drawers. Hairdryer. Television with Freeview and built in DVD player.

There is an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, wash hand basin and toilet.

Bath and Shower
On the first (middle floor) there is a bathroom with electric shower over the bath, vanity unit with wash hand basin and toilet.

The garden steps at the rear lead up to a narrow gravelled path, which wends its way through the lovely “cottage garden”. At the top of the garden is a patio area where there are wooden chairs and a table where you can sit and relax. There is a D.I.Y barbecue

There are public parking spaces in the street outside the cottage, with no time limit or charge.


3 nights are charged at 80% of the full weeks rental

4 nights are charged at 85% of the full weeks rental

5 nights are charged at 90% of the full weeks rental

6 nights are charged at 95% of the full weeks rental

30% deposit of rental rate for full weeks booked (40% Xmas / New Year).

Remaining balance due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday (12 weeks for lets over 3 weeks).

50% payment required for short breaks.

Refundable damages deposits are charged at some cottages.

Where there are open fires or log burners, a basket of logs is included in the price – more logs available for a reasonable charge.

Local Shops, Extras & Activities

The nearest shop for provisions is in Chipping Campden and opens early until late. There is a greengrocer, a delicatessen, a post office, a wine merchant and a library (as well as many other independent retailers) in Chipping Campden.

Welcome hampers are available on request – made up to your requirements; we select locally sourced produce wherever possible.

Champagne / flowers / cakes arranged for any special occasion or surprise.

Horse riding, wine tasting, golf, historical tours, clay pigeon shooting, hat making workshops (or hat hire) soap making, personal trainer, beauty therapy and much more can easily be arranged.
