The Thatch, Westington, Chipping Campden
The Thatch is a romantic Grade II listed cottage where an original inglenook, far-reaching views towards Chipping Campden and a generous private garden create a truly enchanting Cotswold retreat. Set in the peaceful hamlet of Westington, traditional details sit beautifully alongside modern comforts, from flagstone floors and an original-style fireplace to underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.
The cosy sitting room centres around a log-burning stove, while the country-style kitchen and adjoining dining area create an inviting space for evenings in. Upstairs, the spacious double-aspect king bedroom is a particular highlight, with oak flooring and views across the garden towards the rooftops of Chipping Campden. Outside, the substantial garden combines lawn, borders and a patio, offering plenty of space for outdoor dining or simply enjoying the tranquillity of the setting.
A footpath through the surrounding fields provides a scenic route into Chipping Campden, where the historic High Street, independent shops, pubs and restaurants await. With its sense of history, beautiful outlook and peaceful position just beyond the town, The Thatch is a wonderfully atmospheric choice for a Cotswold escape.
